The school library features a collection of digital audiobooks and iPod Shuffles for checkout to students and teachers. Audiobooks can be loaded onto the iPod Shuffles and checked out for up to two weeks. The library has print copies of most of the audiobooks, so students can read the text as they listen.

A complete listing of the audiobook collection is available here:
Research has demonstrated that listening to audiobooks fosters reading comprehension, fluency, language acquisition, vocabulary development, and improved achievement. Further, students benefit from opportunities to listen independently, encouraging the enjoyment of literature so critical to literacy development.

Please print, complete, and send in this permission slip to the library so that your child can take advantage of these new resources.

Do you have an iPod that you are no longer using? Please consider donating it to the library program!
