etymology et-y-mol-o-gy [et-uh-mol-uh-jee] –noun, plural -gies.
1. the derivation of a word.
2. an account of the history of a particular word or element of a word.
3. the study of historical linguistic change, esp. as manifested in individual words.

Where and when did my names originate in the world?

Big Ideas:
What is the etymology and meaning of my given names and surnames? What are some conventions in the origins of first names and surnames?

How did I come to have the names that I have?
